Is anyone else surprised at the amount of articles that are written about technical writing by people who are not technical writers? Are all the tech writers writing articles about how great software development is as a career choice?

I suppose we are not really the target audience for an article telling us that our role is not actually a waste of everyone's time and letting us know that some teachers are knowledgeable.
