An important thing with offsite backups is that the service provider
versions your files. If you get ransomware, using a cloud storage service
like OneDrive or Dropbox might not actually help because the copy on the
"backup" might get overwritten by an encrypted copy created by the
ransomware. You would only be able to restore your data if you can restore
from version of the files before your machine got infected.
