Here is a brief guide to Spanish punctuation.

In general the punctuation falls outside the quotation. Any resulting "double" punctuation is, unlike English, correct.

Every Spanish-speaking country has its own version of Spanish that differs slightly from the rest. It is generally impossible to create a single valid standard.
