The Paligo HTM5 web help I'm currently using has very fast search.
Looks like it uses lunr.js. The generated index is around 400 KB for a
doc that's around 8 MB in PDF format.

Flare's help was about the weakest on the market the last time I
compared. I don't know why they haven't put more resources into that.
