SUMMARY OF PRELIMINARY PROGRAM

OVERVIEW
The Society for Technical Communication's (STC's) Annual Conference is the
international event of the year for technical communicators. The 40th STC
Annual Conference, Post-Conference Workshops, and Exposition will be held in
Dallas, Texas, at the Loews Anatole Hotel, June 6-10, 1993.

The Conference features more than 220 technical sessions, special events, and
networking opportunities that can improve your productivity and effectiveness
in your current job and prepare you for changes in the field. This year's
conference planning and program committees, along with the Society's Lone Star
Chapter, have collaborated to provide a full agenda of valuable educational
and networking opportunities.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Anyone interested in communication of technical, scientific, and medical
material--writers, editors, managers, illustrators, educators, and students
(experienced and entry-level alike)--should attend this Conference.

PRELIMINARY PROGRAM
The 80-page 40th STC Annual Conference Preliminary Program has been mailed
to STC members and interested persons. The Preliminary Program:

ET Education, Training, and Professional Development Stem
