Jack,

Thank you for the advice:

>If you and your audience have access to a UNIX machine, you can pack up
a file (or files) of any type (ASCII, binary, etc.) and send the information
over E-mail.<

The students and I are on VAX systems.

I am using Word for Windows, and Wordperfect 5.1 (DOS).

I'm afraid you are explaining over my head. I'm sure most of the students
would have some difficulty dealing with Unencoding (I do not know the procedure
myself). If compressing and uncompressing and the method you described is the
simplest way to do the sending and recieving, so be it, but isn't there a
simpler way?

I respectfully repeat that I am a beginner at this. I am eager to learn, and
will dig into sources recommended, if you will point me in the right direction.

Many thanks.

Norm
