but here is the short version of a job description for a position
that has just opened up at the University of Waterloo:
This is a tenure-track, entry-level, assistant professor position.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. with a specialization in rhetoric,
professional writing, or composition theory.
We have programs at the B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. levels that integrate
language and literature, and duties will include teaching rhetoric
and professional writing at all levels.
We have a group of committed rhetoric, writing, and literature faculty
who pursue collaborative research.
The appointment will be effective 1 September 93, which means we are
acting quickly: the closing date for applications is 1 June 93.
