in past Technical Communication journal issues. For those of you who
aren't STC members (or who just can't find the January 1993 INTERCOM),
here's what the STC's Bulletin Board System offers in the way of bibliographic
information about its publications:
* abstracts from Technical Communication articles (1978-present)
* abstracts from STC Conference Proceedings (1985-present)
* abstracts from dissertations on technical communication (no dates given)
The index of abstracts from the Conference Proceedings is a relatively
new service that the STC offers (yea!).

You need a PC and a modem (300 to 9600 baud)
No parity, 8 data bits, and one stop bit (see Mark's note above)
After connecting, you can basically follow the screen instructions.
If you're an STC member, use your membership number as your password. If not,
use a four- to ten-digit number as your password.
