Maria -- You're not alone. In my current assignment (at the U.S. Fish
and Wildlife Service), I am a documentation/training dept. of one,
wearing several hats: technical writer, editor, instructional designer,
course developer, project manager .... Of course, as a freelancer who
sometimes works at home and sometimes accepts contract assignments to
work on site, I add hats for marketing & promotion, business networking,
etc.
