Re the Pres' e-mail address: I just used president -at- whitehouse -dot- gov
yesterday and it worked fine. As previously stated, Gore's address
is vice -dot- president -at- whitehouse -dot- gov -dot-

If you're really into government sources, there's a gopher for NII at
iitf.doc.gov (gopher that address). I also just discovered the FCC's
address. They have an anonymous ftp server at fcc.gov.

This isn't nitpicking -- I have a question. Someone posted yesterday
about a Sun deal that he's working on, and then said that he's open for
ideas in case "another deal fell through." How do you interpret that?

I used to believe that "fell through" meant the same as "comes together
successfully." Then I dated a Theatre grad student who lived the OED.
She told me that the terminology actually meant "falls apart" or
"fell through the floor and got lost."

It's been awhile, but seeing the way that was written made me wonder
how other people interpret "fell through."

Cheers,
