Once, when I lost an in-house job to a person with a degree and little
experience, my comment to my fellow workers was:

I would have done the job better, but now they've made their choice and it's
their job to see that it works.

Doug, you'll never know what you missed. And you may have missed the
opportunity to brag about your decision instead of defending it. <grin>
