Thanks for the welcome and assurances of ego safety. I also appreciate no
one's mention of my misspelling 'juleps'.

Can anyone provide me a basic reference for investigating document storage
and retrieval systems for decentralized corporations with diverse systems
(hardware and software)? Are there any products we should either avoid or
approach with caution? What criteria can you suggest to support a proposal
to management? I've done some basic research in journals and periodicals
but would also like to hear from anyone who has gone through the entire
process from proposal through installation and subsequent use.

My employer is trying to determine if a document storage/retrieval system
should be part of its strategic planning. The obvious answer is 'yes'. The
department needs hard benefits.
