And, in my opinion, they should be used cautiously if at all
when the specific order or hierarchy of the information is
of great importance. To get that sort of thing across, be
explicit -- one way is to use the graphical set-up of your
bullet lists, but instead of bullets, use numbers. Another
way is to explain what you're up to in the text above the
bullet list.
