Arlen responded to someone who keeps getting a "You are not subscribed to the
TECHWR-L list" message in reply to the SET DIGEST command.

I just went through a bout of the same problem. Eric Ray was kind to fix it
for me, but pointed out exactly what Arlen said: I was trying to SET DIGEST
from a different account. Let me explain my story; perhaps it will help.

I recently signed on with a local service provider, IQuest. I have a shell
account as well as SLIP/PPP access. Even though mail to jimgrey -at- iquest -dot- net
is available from both interfaces, each interface has a different domain.
When I log into shell, like I'm doing right now from work, I'm *actually*
jimgrey -at- dorite -dot- use -dot- com -dot- And when I log in using WinSock and fire up Eudora
to read mail, I'm *actually* jimgrey -at- pop -dot- iquest -dot- net -dot- But some funky aliasing
system I don't understand makes my virtual address jimgry -at- iquest -dot- net -dot- I
subscribed from dorite.use.com, but set digest from pop.iquest.net, thinking
all along I was just plain old iquest.net. Nope.
