The Embedded Processor Division of Advanced Micro
Devices in Austin, Texas has an opening for a
Senior Technical Writer who has:
-Demonstrable experience documenting hardware;
microprocessor or microcontroller experience is preferred.
Familiarity with x86 microprocessors is a definite plus.
-Experience creating original material from hardware
specifications or outlines.
-Good editing sense.
-A cooperative approach to working on projects with
other writers, hardware and software engineers, and
other product experts.
-Interleaf or Framemaker experience. SGML experience
is a plus.
-Some experience with project management of complex
documentation projects.
This writer will help us develop data sheets and user's
manuals for our new family of embedded x86 microcontrollers
and microprocesors.
This is a full-time permanent position, or can be contract
to hire. The permanent position offers full benefits,
including a relocation package.
