Writing Better Computer Software Documentation for Users:
a Rice University short course

Writing Better Computer Software Documentation for Users is a three-day
Rice University course designed to help you write accurate, clearly
understood computer documentation. Dr. R. John Brockmann, noted
documentation author, teacher, and consultant, will present a systematic
approach to the writing of manuals, brochures, procedures, and on-line
documentation -- from the inception of the documentation project to its
updating after publication. Emphasis will be placed on writing
documentation for the end user.

Dr. Brockmann will present recent innovations in hypertext, graphics, and
project management. The course will include lectures, video demonstrations
of on-line documentation, "hands-on" exercises, and team projects.

When: Monday-Wednesday, January 23-25, 1995, 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Where: Rice University campus, 6100 Main Street, Houston, Texas

Fee: $595 (companies sending more than one employee pay $595 for the first
employee and $550 for each additional employee). Fee includes tuition,
course notebook and materials, and refreshments.
