I agree with your statement because what apparently 'feels good'
to some writers doesn't always 'feel good' to me.

Most of my deviations from the high school grammer
book fall in the "style" category

** Granted, folks can argue whether a particular principle belongs to
style or to grammar. But once you've decided where the borderline
runs, a deviation from style isn't a deviation from grammar.
Leaving gender politics aside (as an already well-discussed topic),
what actual grammatical rules have you found interfering with
communication?

(As you can guess, I mistrust "If it feels good, do it" as the
writer's ultimate guideline... outside poetry, at least.)
