Frame vs. Word

I am a little confused by your e-mail. You sent it to me (Bev
Parks), but then addressed it to "Mike." So I'm not sure if you
really meant it for me or not.

I personally don't have hands-on experience with Word, but I
have read reviews on it and though it is a *very* strong
word processsing program with some desktop publishing
capabilities, it is simply not in the same class of software as
Interleaf. (I am also not familiar with Frame, but I think it is
more like Interleaf than it is like Word.)

Functionality aside, another primary consideration is cost. We
*already have* Interleaf in-house and running on very expensive
Sun platforms. Where is the rationale for chucking all that for
a product with lesser capability? That money would be better
spent training the work force to get the most out of the
technology they already possess.
