Seriously, though, you might start with taking a course in minimalist
documentation.

Cut redundant screen dumps.

Reconsider how much theory you need in user docs if your docs are heavy
on theory.

Eliminate redundancy between online help and user documentation.

Inquire as to whether he actually means words or pages.

Find out what type of information he finds superfluous.
