Technical writers,

In a book I just finished reading it says that Geoffrey Chaucer, author of The
Canterbury Tales, was a technical writer. Six hundred years ago he wrote
"A Treatise on the Astrolabe," now recognized as a competitive piece of
technical writing. This document is used as an example of technical writing in
scientific journals.
