Subject:Re: conference justification? From:Herman Holtz <holtz -at- CLARK -dot- NET> Date:Mon, 20 Feb 1995 08:39:28 -0500
The best message to justify a company outlay for attending some event (or
for almost any othe requested outlay, for that matter) is the potential
profit to the company. How does whatever you gain become a gain for the
company?
Consider, according to the nature of your company, how it might profit
from your increased knowledge: More business? Running existing business
more profitably? Expanding into new profit area? New capabilities for
company to sell? Will you orient/train other employees and so multiply the
benefits you bring back?
You might stress, also (if it is justified), the need to keep up with
exploding technological developments.
