Information Mapping is a methodology developed by Robert Horn.
Much of his mapping theory is based on human cognitive learning skills
research (attention, memory, retention) -- how people learn and then
retain information.

Essentially, this methodology promotes isolating various information
types (through analysis), and organizing it into small chunks that the
reader can easily understand and retain. Information Mapping has
a distinctive format, but the real or true essence of IM is the analysis
and organization of information.

When I first began mapping, my head hurt from too much thinking!
I found the analysis of information time consuming, and I seemed to
constantly edit and thrash through my material to weed out the prose
and leave only the facts. Within a few weeks of practice, it became
much easier.

I will be glad to pass on their address and telephone number to
anyone who is interested tomorrow -- I don't have it with me.
