Ha!
I'm spilling the beans about the Corinthians, Glen. I'm sorry, but
techwr-lers have a right to know the truth!
While reading through the Show section of the Saturday Montreal Gazette
this past weekend, I noticed an article about Dave Broadfoot, a famous
Canadian comedian (famous in Canada, at least ;-) ).
Dave Broadfoot has made me laugh since I was a child. I remember listening
to the Royal Canadian Air Farce on CBC Radio every weekend. Heck,
I still listen to Air Farce every Sunday at 1:00 PM.
Back then, Mr. Broadfoot was a member of the Air Farce. I laughed
hysterically at his hilarious characters: Sgt. Renfrew, the fearless
Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer who "lived in a lonely log
cabin on the 14th floor of Mountie headquarters," or Bobby Clobber,
the dimwitted hockey player who had trouble counting to eleven
if his skates were still on.
Back to the newspaper article! Dave Broadfoot has been working solo
now for a few years. He tours Canada giving shows and speaking at
business meetings and conventions.
One of the one-liners credited to Dave Broadfoot in the
article (and the answer to the Corinthians question) is:
"The apostle, Paul, wrote several epistles to the Corinthians.
Did the Corinthians ever write back?"
So! The jig is up! When and where did you have the chance to see or
hear Dave Broadfoot?
Spreading truth around the world,
Marc.
