Job Description:
The candidates shall work on document preparation of responses to
customers' RFP's, RFQ's and RFI's. They will work in a team environment
involving numerous telecommunications disciplines and various levels of
technical expertise as the central repository of all input to the documents.
Candidates will be responsible for the management of information
incorporated into these documents. This includes writing, editing,
re-writing, performing file conversions from various sources, formatting,
generating graphics, and producing master copies. The candidates will be
expected to assemble each document and ensure that the content has a
marketing emphasis and identifies customer needs and value added issues.
Required Qualifications:
MUST have all the following demonstrable skills:
1. Experience writing RFP's, RFQ's and/or RFI's.
2. Ability to write, edit, format and balance the input from multiple
team members simultaneously.
3. In-depth knowledge of MS Word for Windows (V6.0) and working-level
understanding of MS Word on Macintosh (Vs5.0 or 5.1).
4. Familiarity with the development and generation of graphics in at
least one software application.
5. Working level familiarity with FrameMaker and UNIX and be computer
literate (able to convert files from one platform/application to another).
6. Agreeable to work overtime and weekends with little warning.
7. All interviewed candidates will be asked to produce writing samples
(preferably marketing oriented) during the interview.
