For those of you who are interested in learning more about SGML, the first book
of the "Charles F. Goldfarb Series On Open Information Management" has just
been released. The book is "README.1ST: SGML For Writers and Editors" by Ronald
C. Turner, Timothy A. Douglass and Audrey J. Turner and published by Prentice
Hall PTR. It is an introduction to SGML concepts and constructs aimmed at
writers and others who will *use* SGML to create content but not necessairily
*build* SGML systems. It includes a diskette with an SGML viewer, sample
documents, and Web documents that link to SGML sites on the Web.

Don't know how much it costs -- mine is a complimentary copy. But the cover
says that you can get ordering info at www.prenhall.com.

Best regards,

/chet
