"The Object Orientation of SGML"

"What Can SGML Developers Learn From The
Object Oriented Model?"
6:30 Refreshments

The next SGML Forum of New York meeting will feature Bob DuCharme of Research
Institute of America talking about the parallels between object-oriented
programming concepts and SGML. Bob used his analysis of SGML and the
object-oriented paradigm to develop a sample SmallTalk program that processes
SGML files into various outputs. He will talk about what he learned from this
exercise and the lessons SGML developers can draw in general. Bob will be
giving this presentation to SGML '95, so for those who can't be there, come and
get a sneak preview.

Upcoming Programs:

On December 12th, we'll have an SGML '95 review. Forum members who attended the
annual SGML conference will summarize the themes, hot topics, general wisdom
and best quotes for those who could not be there. (Even if you were there, plan
to attend anyway -- just to keep the speakers honest!)
