What Position Is Open?

Encore Computer Corporation is seeking a technical writer for layered
software, communications, and UNIX Operating System products at
its worldwide headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The position is an immediate opening for a Senior Technical Writer or
a Technical Writer in the Encore Technical Documentation Department.
This technical writer will research, design, develop, and revise user
documentation in both hardcopy and online formats, including
context-sensitive help systems.
What Qualifications Are Required?
=================================
o Knowledge of general programming concepts and communications
protocols.
o Experience in scoping and tracking technical documentation projects.
o Familiarity with FrameMaker or a similar desktop publishing
system, and with UNIX, vi, and roff commands.
o A bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a
related technical area.
o One to three years experience designing, developing, and
maintaining online and hardcopy user documentation.
o Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
