On the subject of PCMCIA versus PC Card, here's how we handle it in our
documentation:

+ PCMCIA is the name of the standards group (Personal Computer Memory Card
International Association) that develops and maintains the PC Card
standard.

+ PC Card is the designation for a standard and a device conforming to that
standard.

For example, here's how we tell readers about PC Card support in a recently
published system user document:

Your system may have a PC Card slot for use with devices based on standards
developed by the Personal Computer Memory Card International Association
(PCMCIA). Windows NT Workstation 3.51 provides basic support for certain
PC Card devices, and is required to use a PC Card device with your
system....

Hope this helps.
