I think I've mentioned this before. We ask people to write a manual on how
to make a call on a push button telephone; audience - a clerk who has never
seen an electronic machine.

Y'all would be surprised (well maybe not) how few people can do this well.
You'd also be surprised how many times we get a technical description of
telephone networks.
