Per R. Miller's posting on SAP postion in Germany.
They have recently posted another position and the only cultural requirment was a willingness to learn German, if not already spoken.
FYI -
This does not negate the restrictions on gaining citizenship. Because Germany
has been a strong, industrial country with attractive living conditions, it
has been a magnet for world citizens in search for a new home. The flow of
emigrants has been particularily heavy since the late '70's. Famine, wars, and
repression have all played a role in the increase in the numbers of people
seeking citizenship. So they started to set procedures and rules in place.
They may seem strict, but it is their judgment.
As to being prejudical, I think that is a case of the pot calling the kettle
black, if NPR is to be believed re one candidate's* views on immigration!
