Techwr-l gang,

I have some cool news and a request. I've been told that *if*
everything goes as planned, the _New York Times Magazine_ (a
supplement to the Sunday _Times_) will have an article about
technical communication next Sunday, April 7. My company,
COREComm, and our web site are supposed to be mentioned in the
article. I think it will be some cool publicity, if it happens.
(I'm the site's webmaster, so of course I think this is cool!)
Unfortunately, I don't know the author's name.

Here's the request: If you read the NY Times on the day of
publication, would you be willing to snip and fax me the article
after it appears? You don't have to mail me the whole magazine
because I think my boss in Houston will do that. I just want to
read it to see if we made it in.

I'll take the help of whomever volunteers first. To everyone else,
I'll send a note that says, "Thanks for offering to help." If I don't
send you any reply, don't bother; I might be away from the office on
a business trip.

Anyway, I hope the article puts our profession in a good light! Yes,
I will check the Times' web site, but I don't know if they include
everything there.

Regards,
LaVonna

PS: Yes, I can probably buy the Times in my town, but I've been told
that it arrives about 1 week late.
