The reason your pictures from CorelDraw 5.0 looks bitmapped is
because they are bitmapped. I would love to have a suitable
generally accepted vectorised graphical format on "the net", so if
somebody out there knows about such one, please ...

When selecting bitmap size, remember, that 640x480 is a full screen
for many machines (VGA). Generally make them smaller. Don't use
more colors than you need because the more colors, the larger image
files, and the more time it takes to download. Simplify your graphics
(if possible) using large areas with the same color, because GIF is
a compressed format, and the same color pixel after pixel costs very
little extra space when compressed.

I have used Paint Shop Pro for some time, mainly because it is one of
the few programmes I know which can make interlaced GIF 89a files in
many color number levels. Now I am mainly using CorelDraw 6.0, because
it can export to GIF 89a interlaced with a selectable transparent
background color.
