On 23 Apr 1996 Keith Soltys asked about GMT or Universal Time.

He got some answers, but maybe not the answer he was looking for.
There are several "universal time" definitions. One of them was the
Universal Standard Time system from the end of last century defining
the present time zones with GMT as the +0 zone.

I have just documented a system for aviation use. The system now used
here and in navigation is the UTC, which was defined in an answer yesterday.
