I know you mentioned an article in Tech. Com. from 1/95. Are you aware
that the entire issue is devoted to value-added? There are several other
good articles including:
Denise Pieratti "How the Process and Organization Can Help or Hinder
Adding Value."
Janice Redish "Adding Value as a Professional Technical Communicator"
Not that it is necessarily useful, the Redish article has a significant
bibliography.
Also, check Technical Communication 3Q 1984. Page 25 starts an article
by Louis Post called "The Economics of Technical Communication."
Locating and contacting any or all of these authors might be a good idea
as well. After all, they probably found lots of information AFTER they
published. Don't we all?
