Colleen, we philosophers never trouble ourselves with such
non-ethereal thoughts. ;-) I think it was the great sage
Bugs Bunny who said, "Money is no object, especially when
you haven't got any."

Seriously, your point is well made and well taken. But there
are some fairly inexpensive ways to design a document -- either
printed or online -- so as to provide separate paths for the
novice and the expert.

'Course that takes TIME, which we don't always have a lot of
either....
