Michael, in Word 6, the File Open dialog box has a check box labelled "Confirm
Conversions." It wasn't a "command." You might check Word 7's equivalent to the
File Open dialog.

Glad my suggestion worked out!

Subject: Wordperfect > Word conversion

When I said a couple of weeks ago that I couldn't get Word to convert
WordPerfect 6 files even with the MS conversion utility, someone responded
with what turned out to be the correct answer to my problem. I had to have
FileConfirmConversions on. I have still not found this command on any menu
or toolbar, but I did find it in the all commands list and put it onto a
toolbar to execute it. Files convert oddly -- heading fonts all changed --
but it's much better than nothing. Thanks for the help.
