I work for a telecommunications hardware/software manufacturer, and I see
this used quite often in applications guides, data sheets, product
information releases, manuals, etc. Personally, I've never cared for it
and have tried to substitute "capabilities" or something of the like
whenever I can slip it past my editor. --David
