They're the largest after IBM, which did about $11 billion in
software sales last year. The most successful? Yes, over the
past couple of years. Check back in, oh, 20 or 30 years, and
we'll see if that still holds up.

Well, they sure took a lot of time doing *something*.

The conclusion may or may not be true, but it doesn't follow from
the premises. Don't forget the joke about how many Microsoft
programmers it takes to screw in a light bulb.
