Position
Technical Writer, full-time short-term contract position
with possibility of becoming permanent
Qualifications
Knowledge of a word-processing package, preferably Microsoft Word
Knowledge of flowcharting software, preferably Visio
Knowledge bitmap and vector-based drawing packages
Familiarity with a publishing package, preferably FrameMaker
Grasp of desktop publishing principles
Degree in Tech Writing, Graphic Design and/or equivalent experience
HTML for web publishing a plus
Willingness and ability to learn new software packages
Graphic design skills a plus
Responsibilities
Write/maintain user manuals, online help and/or systems documentation
Create diagrams and graphics for use in documentation
Design flyers, newspaper ads, slides, etc.
Test and proofread documentation
Salary
$25-$35 per hour, depending on qualifications
