STC Meeting: Palm Beaches Chapter (SE Florida)

Topic:   The 1996 Traveling Exhibit of Competition Winners
         (consisting of Art, Video, Newsletter, and
          Public Relations)

Speaker: Deborah Grimstead, Encore Computer Corp.
         Deborah will give first-hand information on what judges
         look for during the competition.

         Deborah served on the STC Board of Directors from 1985-88 as
         Director-Sponsor for Region 3. In 1994 she was elected an Associate
         Fellow of STC and cited for developing guides for the integration of
         text and graphics, and for distinguished service to STC.

         Also in 1994 Deborah won an Award of Excellence in STC's
         International Technical Publications Competition. She has managed and
         judged for STC chapter and regional
         competitions, and she has judged for STC's International Online
         Communication Competition. Currently, Deborah is Manager of STC's
         Membership Issues Committee.

Place:   (changed to) Spanish River High School
                      NE corner of Yamato and Jog (Powerline) Road
                      in Boca Raton (park in the SW lot)

Date:    October 9, 1996 (Wednesday)

Time:    6:30 p.m.

Agenda:  1) Networking Half Hour (6:30 - 7:00)
            (food and refreshments will be served)
         2) Short business Meeting (7:00)
         3) Program and Exhibit Viewing (7:15 - 8:30)


Directions:

          From Florida Turnpike: Take Glades Road exit. Head east on Glades
          Rd. Turn left at Powerline/Jog Road. Head north to Yamato. School is
          at corner of Powerline/Jog Road and Yamato.

          From I-95: Take Yamato Road exit. Head west on Yamato Rd. School
          will be on right upon reaching Powerline/Jog Road.
