JOB: Project Lead/Technical Writer

IDX Systems Corporation (corporate headquarters in Burlington, Vermont)
has an opening for a technical writer project lead in our Burlington
office.  As a Project Leader, you will perform duties related to setting
priorities, ensuring that deadlines are met, and communicating goals
following specific standards for IDX products.  You will also write a
major portion of the documentation set for a radiology information
system.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or Technical
Writing
4 years experience as a software technical writer
At least 1 year experience as a project lead or supervisor
Desktop publishing experience
Solid understanding of audience analysis and task analysis

Preferences:
Familiarity with programming concepts, and/or VMS or DSM experience
Familiarity with FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, and Doc-To-Help
Familiarity with Windows 95 Help standards and design concepts
