Now that's classy. The other side of the coin is a few sportswriters I
knew who wrote books and actually had to go out and buy them (pay for the
books) themselves to use for their own purposes. I could never fully
understand the logic there, but I know it happens in the music industry
too. I was once talking to a singer who signed a record contract with a
big label. That's all she signed was a recording contract. The
stipulation was that if it sold 10,000 records, they'd sign her up for a
2nd contract. She literally went to different towns and states and
purchased her own cd. Isn't this a catch 22?
