Allen Systems Group, a leading mainframe software provider in
Naples, Florida is seeking a FrameMaker 5.1 for Windows '95
expert for a new Technical Writer position.
The successful candidate will have a comfortable working knowledge of
FrameMaker for Windows 95, including the ability to create GUI-intensive
books with conditional sections, create paragraph tags and templates,
perform conversions from WordPerfect 5.2+ for Windows, and
create hypertext documents as Acrobat Portable Document Files.
Other requirements include:
--Adobe Acrobat, including Distiller, Exchange, Reader, and Catalog.
--Creating online documentation and developing standards for online
documentation. HTML experience an advantage.
--WordPerfect 5.2+ for Windows experience (we are presently migrating to
FrameMaker) a plus.
--Degree in English Composition, Journalism, or Technical Communications
preferred.
--Three to five years of technical writing in a software development
environment. Entry level candidates with a recent degree in English,
Journalism, or Technical Communications may also be considered.
--Knowledge of PostScript in a high-volume, on-demand print processing
environment will be helpful.
