It looks like my question on office environments and morale/productivity
touched a BIG nerve, so it will take me a while to work through all the
responses. Just a first-blush summary, though: it appears that pods and
window-less offices are reproducing and spreading like viruses, negatively
affecting worker morale and productivity. Especially for "creative
workers," this may be an issue we want to start making part of contract
negotiations or "ergo-nomics"....
