Subject:Re: "Space, the final frontier"...update From:LaVonna Funkhouser <lffunkhouser -at- HALNET -dot- COM> Date:Wed, 12 Feb 1997 08:41:14 -0500
I sent in my specs to Virginia. I won't repeat them all
here, but the short version is that I have a 10x10 ft
cubicle with 5-ft walls. The north wall above 3.5 ft is all window
overlooking a man-made pond. (We get ducks, geese, herons,
and occasionally beavers, but they are usually forced to
leave.) The window is also a negative because it does
not have blinds.
I also want to make this point:
Fortunately, the group we have now gets along pretty
well, which makes all the difference in the world. A
lot more difference--in my opinion--than the shape or
size of my cubicle office. I think I can make a good
case for this assertion because I've been sitting in
the same office for several years, but the stress level is
a lot lower now than when the people around me were
deceitful and back-stabbing.
Being able to hear each other is a lot worse when you
do not trust each other.
Regards,
LaVonna
