Hello all:
Does anyone out there create applications using FrameMaker FDK? I've
written some novelty WordBasic macros in the past, but I am now looking to
create some serious applications using Frame FDK.
Can a skilled technical writer (semi-advanced Frame user) with basic
knowledge of C (i.e. taken courses in C, but limited practical experience)
understand and utilize the FDK?
How long does it take to create simple Frame applications?
As a background note: We are looking for ways to streamline the process of
retrieving internal technical notes (and code documentation) and rewriting
it for external use (user manuals, reference guides). Our QA department is
now completely restructuring our internal documentation system, with Frame
as the primary doc tool. So we are researching the value of Frame FDK.
Any info is much appreciated.
Thanks!
