Subject:Tools to generate context ids? From:Ginna Watts <gwatts -at- PIM -dot- BC -dot- CA> Date:Wed, 19 Feb 1997 11:09:29 -0800
Hi all,
We are using Frame to create our documents, and are using some tools
provided by Bentley Systems to turn MIF files into RTF. (For program
specific reasons I won't go into).
The problem: The tools themselves do a very good job of generating a
help-ready RTF from Frame - all cross-references are perfectly converted
etc. It also generates a new HPJ each time. BUT Topic Strings (text) are
given IDs on the fly - that is, they are numbered sequentially each time,
and if I add a new topic or section, they get out of whack. This is
something of a problem for the programmers.
Does anyone know of a tool that will read an RTF and map Strings to existing
ID numbers? (Or have any other ideas?)
