While I feel that STC membership costs for US and other residents is fine,
but the rate for Indians as Individuals is too much. At say $110, the
rate works out to almost half a month- a month's starting salary. I think
STC should have special rates for each country, and maybe have means of
collecting them locally. I have not been able to become a member for so
long because of the "high" rate.
(Aside: I have a few projects coming up in America. Hopefully, I can
become a member then.)
