I've been suffering in silence for days now, popping in on this thread from time to time to see what direction it was taking, and to see if I could figure out what SME stands for.

I haven't figured it out, I've asked about half of our S/W development staff, did a couple web searches and came up empty handed (unless you count Society for Mechanical Engineers, Software Made Easy and Small and Medium sized Enterprises).

So I give up and publicly ask, "What does SME stand for?"
I can't be alone in not knowing can I?
