I do remember seeing your original post, but my reaction was ...
"Softcopies of what?" Are you talking about documentation? If so, are
you selling a file copy of the documentation separate from the
purchase of the software? How big is it? What will the user do with
it? How are you marketing it (web site download, etc.)?
One of the reasons you may not have received many responses is that
this might be a marketing "thing" and few tech writers get involved
with the pricing issues.
Not a good answer....but at least a response.
